Dress Code

A dark two-piece suit should be cut to a traditional style with two buttons and two vents on the jacket. Slanting jacket pockets and four button cuff is a signature style that never looks out of place. Avoid trying to be fashionable with short jackets and drainpipe trousers as these looks are out of place and soon become very dated. If the trousers have belt loops, make sure a belt is worn that is the same colour as your shoes.

A properly cut and well-fitting suit will last for years and will immediately bestow confidence in your demeanour. When standing or walking always do up the top button of the jacket and undo this button when seated.

A correctly fitting shirt will always complement a suit. If the shirt is to be worn with a tie avoid trendy small collars and buttoned cuffs. Double cuffs with cufflinks are always to be preferred when wearing a tie. If, however the suit is to be worn without a tie a button-down collared shirt is advised as the shirt will fit more stylishly under the lapels of the jacket.

A conventionally shaped tie will always complement a suit and a colour matching top pocket handkerchief shows a sense of style.

Black shoes should always be worn with a business suit, never brown. Lace up or tassel is a personal style choice, and either should always be polished. When not in use shoe trees are advised to maintain the correct shape.

More of the above will be explained in detail on your day
